Bill Maker has been an attorney since 1976. He graduated Magna
Cum
Laude from Queens College of the City University of New York
in 1972
with a Bachelor of Arts degree in economics where he was elected
to the
Sigma chapter of the Phi Beta Kappa Society.
He attended New York University School of Law where he graduated
with a
Juris Doctor degree in 1975. He returned to NYU for his Master
of Laws
in 1982.
He was admitted to the bar of the State of New York in 1976 and
has
maintained a practice in Westchester County ever since. He is
a member
of the firm of McMillan Constabile LLP which is located in Larchmont,
New York. He is admitted to all of the federal courts in the
state of
New York as well as the United States Supreme Court and the United
States Tax Court.
His practice involves trusts and estates, advising corporations
in
their commercial dealings and in real estate and commercial litigation.
He also has an extensive background in municipal law, zoning
and tax
certiorari. He gathered experience in this field during his six
years
as the Deputy Town Attorney of the Town of Harrison and in his
current
position as Town Attorney for the Town of Mamaroneck.
He is an adjunct assistant professor of finance, business, economics
and legal studies in the Hagan School of Business at Iona College
in New
Rochelle and an author of a number of articles dealing with issues
of
real estate law.
He is a former President of the New Rochelle Bar Association.
He
serves as Chairperson of the South East Consortium for Special
Services,
Inc. which provides therapeutic recreation for disabled people
and is a
member of the advisory board of the Chicago Title Insurance Company.
