- "Life and Money with Frank Sisco"
(SM) is a coordinated
set of media events that are focused on bringing important information
about life and money to many people in an informative yet entertaining
way. Real people share real-life experiences through stories,
songs and other creative material, inspiring others with ways
to get more out of life and more out of money. The Life and Money
events consist of (a) monthly open-mic events at Borders Scarsdale,
(b) weekly radio shows (not on air during the summer months),
and (c) periodic community events. Here are the details.
- (a) Life and Money Open-Mic Event at Borders
Scarsdale (SM ) is
a fast-paced variety show with usually 15 guests and sponsors
on each two-hour show. Frank Sisco and Tom Sullivan cohost the
event which is quite entertaining and informative, featuring
financial sponsors and guests telling stories, business people
sharing experiences, and creative people performing their works
(such as songs, poems, jokes, skits, play excerpts), all done
in an enlivening atmosphere with a discussion of inspirational
themes and messages. It is similar to the Life and Money Radio
Show in its variety show format and theme, with similar guests
and sponsors, but has more of a feel of live theater because
of the visual aspect. Patrons of Borders and the public are invited
to not only watch and listen in the beautiful large cafe area,
but also to get up at the mic and share their own story, song,
poem, skit, joke or other creative material. The open-mic event
is held on the second Wednesday of every month, 7:45pm-10:00pm
at Borders Scarsdale, located at 680 White Plains Road, Scarsdale,
NY (Lord & Taylor Shopping Center) Tel #914.725.4637 (Craig
Kennedy is the Borders contact). Click on the particular underlined

- (b) "Life and Money Radio Show"
(SM ) is a fast-paced variety show with usually 10 guests
and sponsors on each one-hour show. It airs live every Wednesday,
from 7pm-8pm on WVOX, at 1460 on the AM dial (throughout southern
Westchester County, NY, and the northern Bronx and Long Island).
The show is rebroadcasted on WVOX 1460AM every Saturday and Sunday
from noon to 1pm and also on the sister station WRTN 93.5 FM
throughout a large part of the metro tri-state area (NY, NJ and
CT) every Wednesday in the very early morning from 3am to 4am

- (c) Life and Money Community Event (SM) is similar to the
Life and Money Radio Show and Life and Money Open-Mic Event at
Borders in its variety show format and theme, and its informative
and entertaining ways of providing helpful information about
life and money. However, each community event is tailored to
its particular audience. For example, a Life and Money Community
Event at the North End Seniors Center in New Rochelle, NY (held
on 4/3/2002) focused on life and money issues directly affecting
senior members (including (a) ways to get more income yet with
protection of principal, such as high-yield certificates of deposit
and equity-linked CDs, and (b) ways to protect against the potentially
devastating costs with certain long-term care insurance policies).
The selection of performers of songs, skits, and other creative
material were chosen especially for the audience (e.g. a poem
about being a grandmother (by Jean Busatti), skit about a funny
debate between a grandfather and grandson at the racetrack (Hal
Wickliffe and Tom Sullivan), songs from before the 1950s sung
by a harmony group (The Pelham Larks) and by singers (Edgar Caruana
and Jim Brownold), etc.)

- Fees and sponsorships - There is no

the costs of the shows, guests who are also sponsors (e.g. financial

owners, other professionals, etc.) pay a fee to "Financial
Management Corporation" depending primarily upon the amount
of radio air time. A typical sponsor fee arrangement is $240
